Local Democrats: WE WANT YOU to participate in electing delegates to the Missouri Democratic Convention by attending our township mass meetings in 2024!

Democrats in St. Louis County who vote in the 2024 Party Run Presidential Preference Primary on March 23rd, 2024 are invited to take their party involvement a step further and participate in township mass meetings in April. Democratic Committeepeople from each township will lead meetings to elect delegates to represent their township at the Missouri Democratic Convention. By attending your township’s mass meeting, you can help choose who will serve you as a delegate. You can also run as a delegate or alternate yourself!

To vote for delegates to represent your township, you must:

1.) Be a registered voter, or, if you are still too young to be registered to vote, be old enough that you will turn 18 before the 2024 November general election.
2.) Attend the township mass meeting for the St. Louis County township you reside in. Township mass meetings will happen in April of 2024. (If you aren’t sure which township you reside in, here’s how to find the St. Louis County township you are registered to vote in.)
3.) Fill out a mass meeting participation form, either before or at your local mass meeting, affirming that you are a Democrat who voted in the Missouri Democratic primary. You can fill out the form in advance online here, or do it on paper in person at the meeting.

To run as a delegate or alternate to the Missouri State Democratic Convention, you must do all of the above, and also:

1.) Have voted in the 2024 Party Run Presidential Preference Primary in March.
2.) Register as a Democrat with the Missouri Secretary of State’s office (you can do this by updating your voter registration at the Missouri Secretary of State website or with the St. Louis County Board of Elections)
2.) Fill out and sign a delegate candidate registration form from the state party website and submit it by April 11, 2024 (submission instructions are included on the form)
3.) Make plans to attend the Congressional District Convention in your U.S. congressional district on May 9, and the state party convention on June 22, 2024

Those who are elected as delegates to the 2024 Missouri State Democratic Convention will have the opportunity to run as national delegates representing the state of Missouri at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, August 19 – 22, 2024.
